THE STORY: Very often I hear about tragedies happening somewhere far away, across the world, I want to do something to help but very often feel helpless. Considering the drastic situation in Syria, I can no longer allow myself to NOT take action and help those in need. I've made C.S.A.I my support partner to receive your donations. They are doing amazing work for these families, and they very much need your support.
The Canadian government estimates the cost of settling an individual refugee today at around $12,000. A family of four will need about $25,000. Right now nearly 12 million civilians are in dire need of humanitarian aid with 50% of them children.
Centre Social d’Aide Aux Immigrants will be employing these funds to assist in the social integration of Syrian refugees starting new lives here in Canada. CSAI will be working directly with refugees from Syria to help find housing, psychosocial support, language support, and many more challenges faced by newcomers.
