My Wedding Associate Photography Team
Meet my associate photographers: Marlow & Roxanne - Each deliver the same candid look and feel as I do, and are perfect for intimate events, elopements, and all things special.
For nearly 10 years, both Marlow and Roxanne have worked with me as second shooters, helping me manage the whirlwind energy at so many incredible weddings. I could not have done it without them and their unique vision. As individuals, both have very special skills that make their images stand out from the sameness in the wedding world. They bring their life experiences as travellers, visual connoisseurs, and I can honestly say they’re both 200% fantastic. I am thrilled to offer them as a team, or to be booked solo for smaller, more intimate events, being designed with a limited budget. Both can be booked solo or as a team, and you’ll be spoiled to have either one of them. These two are perhaps Montreal Wedding Photography's best-kept secret.
My associates have learned from me, and I have learned from them. Neither runs their own studios, but both are true professionals. They excel in slowing down busy moments and recording beautiful chaos. Both have years of experience working with every type of element demanding their attention. And they love it. Candid portraits, images with all the ambiance and vibes, low-light candle-lit receptions, capturing quiet, hush moments, they really know what to do and how it’s done.
Much of the time, 95% of photographers are focused on the couple alone, almost exclusively all day, and very often forget that it is the guests, the friends, and the family - who are what the couple want to see as the story of their wedding day. My team and I are always looking the other way around to show not just the bride and groom, but the expressions and reactions of the people interacting with our couples. This alone helps us create the images that really capture ‘what it felt like to be there,’ not simply ‘this is what happened’.
My team and I are always capturing the reactions and expressions of everyone behind the action = more feeling, more drama, more love.
We commit to each frame when we feel it’s right for our couples, and we do this always with love for the chase, and to make our image collections special. We turn our cameras around to show reactions, expressions, and the excitement your friends and family share with you. Our goal is to photograph you again on your 50th anniversary, and our wish is for images to look just as strong and warm then as they do now. I say we, because I'm speaking for myself and my associate photographers Roxanne & Marlow, who are probably the best kept secret as #montrealweddingphotographers
As image makers, the only thing that separates one from another is vision. Our vision is clear - we're looking for two things: 1. Layers and layers of people, faces, movement and light. We want to see depth and drama. And 2: simple, direct, and naked beauty. Eyes looking straight into the camera, and everything is said in body language.
We don't apologize for shooting in black and white, and the reason we deliver half our images in square format is because it's classic, and we like that. We hope you like it.
Some words about what I feel make each unique and special:
Marlow - incredible sense of timing, framing, and is a true storyteller. He knows where to be when it matters most, and can slip past people’s guard to capture images that bring out the very best in people, and reveal the true nature of those in his frames. Wonderfully ‘loose’ is the word I would use to describe his style of documentation, which has always impressed me most, and always looks and feels fresh in a genre so often overly posed and carefully framed.
Roxanne - is always prepared to catch and document the unexpected and spontaneous moment. An ability to compose amidst chaos allows her to always make her subjects look incredible, rain or shine. Her frames capture feeling and emotion in a way that our clients very much connect with. Roxanne is already well known for her personal work being shown and displayed in galleries and exhibitions, and it is this dedication that adds so much depth to her imagery.
