Pavillon Dauphine Wedding : Amanda & Andrew in Paris

Destination weddings are extra special, and I love being apart of these events. This one happened just after covid restrictions ended, and flying out to Paris to join my couple and their incredible families was the highlight of that summer. After many attempts to organize events throughout covid, Amanda & Andrew finally embarked on the sweetest journey - their Paris destination Wedding, at Pavillon Dauphine. This event was stunning from start to finish, and I was personally so happy to see them make this official, and do so with so many of their closest family and friends beside them. Paris is perhaps top 5 in the world for destination weddings, and this photographer couldn't have been more happy to be there.

The event began with cocktail party Friday evening, which went late into the night under a beautiful French summer sunset. The classic French artwork and decor created such a charming vibe and was the perfect start to a weekend that no one would soon forget. As the wedding day unfolded, more and more guests showed up dressed as you do in Paris, and explored the vast greenery, and excellent food and drinks the venue kept serving up. In the seclusion and tranquility of this hidden garden, the noise of Paris felt distant and removed. This mini castle was all ours for the night, and would make for a gorgeous Pavillon Dauphine wedding.

For a very quick portrait session we took the couple for a quick run through the nearby streets of Paris and had our couple dance through a garden and find themselves all tangled up in one another. When the sun began its descent, Amanda and Andrew found themselves quickly surrounded by their guests once again, dancing, twirling, at the centre of a serious dance frenzy. The candles were set and glowed warm against the fading light outside. Such a beautiful and rich scene inside expertly designed by local planner Joy Productions. If you’d ever tried planning a wedding during covid, you’ll understand how happy this made everyone to see this event come together the way it did. This story is a true testament to Amanda & Andrew’s enduring romance.

I love being a Montreal based destination wedding photographer for the weekend. Paris, London, New Orleans, New York, bring me anywhere and we’ll bring home magic. Destination weddings can be a challenge for the couple, planning these events from a distance can be stressful but and helping make these experience a little easier, smoother, and more fun is what I love to do. If you’re planning a destination wedding and searching for a photographer used to handling everything, and capturing that in a very dreamy, yet easy going documentary style, let’s talk about making that happen.

I’ve opened up bookings for 2024 destination weddings now, so take a few moments and let me know the details of your upcoming wedding on my contact form, and let’s get this conversation started. I want to hear all about your wedding inspiration, and what you’re most looking forward to.
